I don't know what Mad Mod is either( but I do know Dr. Who, especially the eleventh doctor) but I liked the costumes anyway.
An amigurumi armadillo? It must be so cute!

I emptied the old cushions. I put some foam in the back and a bed pillow in front of it and added some padding around the edges. Since the cushions where to upright, i added a band of foam at the bottom back. It is much more comfortable than before, although not as comfortable as a recliner.
