I am sort of slacking on creating because I have an unbelievably huge project for cleaning and organizing my art room which was a total disaster at our last place and even after 5 months here is only starting to come around with help from UfYH on Tumblr and the DeStash...

The thing is as soon as it is done (goal February 9th or sooner) I will be starting a huge project of a bunch of small paintings (30-35)
I haven't been allowing myself to craft at home to keep from being distracted from cleaning but I like to doodle during D&D which we will be playing tonight so I am going to take one of my small art journals and do something simple in it to count as a project.

Tonight was so hard, I was having serious neuropathy problems in my legs (nerves that shoot random messages causing pain and spasms) on top of being so tired I thought I was going to fall asleep during the game but I didn't want to ruin it for everyone so we played extra long and I tried to distract myself by working on a very simple quote art journal page (working on lettering)
6x6" black card stock mounted in a small scrapbook cover (no sleeves)
Prismacolor pencils and gel pen markers.



I think it came out good for how out of it I was.


So that is project #1 out of 50

P_E_S_T, what a fabulous way to upcycle! Never thought of using a curtain for wearable crafts... But now that I think of it, I guess you are in good company (Amy Adams in Enchanted and Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music!)

I always thought Scarlet in Gone With the Wind was the epic in recycling curtains into clothing.

Thank you! I have been using font sites to look at charater maps and duplicate computer fonts and so this book will be all quotes and lettering work.

I am doing a ton better, going to stay in today and rest, time to relax and just doodle around at sorting stuff
