I got the Pavlova already covered. It is the rest of the meal that has me stumped. Thanks.
A hearty steak and prawn stir fry with a simple sauce of soy sauce, ginger, garlic with a dash of wine over rice and desert of mixed fruit with a light ginger infused glaze

I'll weigh in with 'Roo if you can get it. Roo goes great with red (just be sure not to over cook it, it's touchy like that. Oh, and ignore the smell while it cooks. It tastes a whole lot nicer than it smells. Before all the hipsters got in and bumped the price up to regular meat prices, I used to live on Roo because it was a third of the price of beef. Great in stir fry, but yeah, it does pong a bit)
I wouldn't go with prawns. Maybe it's personal opinion, but I always thought of them more as a white wine dish.
I'm not a Shiraz drinker myself, so I don't know the particular wine, but if it's not too bold, I have a great
parmesan chicken and basil salad
recipe. If you can get hold of Lemon myrtle to go in the crumbing that would be even better.
Also, I found this:

I'm not a wine drinker (but most of my family are) and a nice red wine pairing would be slow cooked lamb shanks with garlic and rosemary. Not sure how readily available lamb is, but cooked long and slow, lamb shanks are fantastic.

Dang... do you know how long and hard I've looked for that website?
I haven't seen Roo at the butcher yet so I will probably go with something else. I was trying to avoid lamb or mutton.
THANKS for the suggestions everyone.

I really love how this thread is so communicative
By the way I would like to get your opinions on what counts as a "project". While I was browsing 2010 thread, i noticed OP posted "a project should take at least one hour to complete".. And I don't know if I agree with her. For me, even if it takes 10 minutes it is a project because personally I struggle with a lot of distractions and it is really hard for me to sit down and do something if i am concentrated on something online or other. So if I take my time to get inspired and do something it should considered as a project. What do you think?

I am obsessed with the yarn items in movies and tv shows...but only if I like the show..like the afghans in True Blood or the scarves in Dr. Who...
I think when you knit or crochet, you notice those things more...
I totally agree with you on that. Course, the whole reason I started knitting was because of the Harry Potter movies. I kept eye balling all the lovely knits in the movies. And thinking "Oh, I want that! Oh! I love that! Ah! I need to learn to knit!" Now though, since i do crochet and knit I notice even the tiniest knit/crochet items in movies/tv shows and in the stores. We will be walking to to the dvd section and we will pass the hats and I will go "Oh oh oh!" And my spouse and son will finish my sentence and be like "WE KNOW! YOU COULD TOTALLY KNIT THAT!" ha ha ha. Yeah, its like an obsseive compulsive disorder. Now, even the hubby and kiddo will spot things in movies and be like "oh! make that for me! You could make that!"

Time wise I dont agree with a that comment the person made. To me a project has no set time frame, if its something you make/create then its a project wether it takes 5 minutes or 5 months.

As far as what is a project and what is not . . . I think it's all up to you. If you consider it a project, then it's a project. It's your list/goal, so how you want to count it is all that matters.

Personally I don't think time should matter. I can easily make a piece of jewelry under 10 minutes. If you consider it a project then I would post it.
I finished my first project of the year last night. Now I have to get around to take pictures of it.
