I don't suppose we count software programming as crafting do we?  Because I am writing an android app to help me keep track of my rows and colour changes when I make my Doctor Who scarf, and that would keep me organised!  (As a side note, I noticed a few others making THE scarf this year. When I'm finished writing my app, I'd be happy to share a link for anyone running android who'd like a copy)

Would it only work for this pattern or could it be manipulated for others???

I'm hard coding the season 12 pattern into it, but I could change that for another pattern, assuming I had access to the pattern. If you are just after something that keeps track of a set row repeat though, might I suggest County It's what I use as a row counter, and what gave me the idea for the scarf app.
