I love reading everyone's lists!

I have been happily crafting away today making painted papers that I wanted to use in a multimedia piece but just found out that one of the pens that I was used bleeds when I put modge podge on it. Sad. I am going to try to spray them with a sealer but the spray says that I need to wait until it is above freezing to use it. I wonder what happens if I use it when it is this cold?

Question for all of you - I am thinking of having a craft party. I have been to some that were really fun, but they had people who were all fairly experienced crafters and they brought their own WIPS. Have any of you hosted a craft party for a wide variety of skills and experience and had it been successful?

I use sealer and/or fixative on my stuff all the time when its cold since I can't get away from the -20C for half the year.  All I do is stand on the deck and spray fast then bring it in to dry.  although sometimes I forget to take note of the wind and overspray my parka, the house siding and my poor deck ;Wink

I think as long as the stuff doesn't get cold ...I spray and paint all sorts of things in my ice cold garage! Cheesy

k-star--it is good that you set the rules...when kids come back home, they have to live by your rules...including yarn and fabrics hanging around! Cheesy

Kookaloo: my parents did that to me, too!  When I moved out, my mom turned my old bedroom into a craft room.  When I moved back, we crammed my bed in there.  The best part was, I was working at Michaels at the time.  It was all crafts, all the time!  It was fantastic. Cheesy

Ok - so I have 8 ongoing projects that are carrying over from 2012.  And my family is picking on me because I can't seem to pick one and finish it.  They all get worked on bit by bit by bit.  Smiley  Oh well.  I am almost done with the first scarf of the year for one of my co-workers.  And then I'm hoping to finish the shawl I started sometime last July.

So here's my question for January's challenge....  if you're finishing an ongoing project from 2012 for yourself....  does it count twice?  Wink  j/k.  I'm being a pain.  Smiley

You don't have to post anything...only you control your list...it is just a tool for you...some people like to show what they made and of course, we love to see what inspiration and tips we can get...and how others might interpret the same patterns, etc.  But, please, don't feel pressured to have to post anything!

Some people have more time than others...do what you can!

So I was glancing around the terror that is my crafting space. Everything is stuffed in bags and boxes from when I moved out for college 3 yrs. ago, and it is quite the daunting project to get it organized, especially with no budget for shelves or bins. However, I have this pretty large trunk, which is a horrible green color. It has a pressed wood inside, and I used to store my winter items in it. However, it leaves everything smelling musty. I wanted to use it to store my growing fabric stash, but I'm not sure how to solve this problem. I don't want to have nasty smelling fabric. Any advice for this issue?
