I hadn't seen the scarf!  Not sure how that happened... it looks fantastic!

Do you have a hat pattern in mind to match?  I'm thinking "mio hat" with the left over yarn... half the colours on one side, the other half on the other side, changing colours randomly... or something.

I am just doing stripes in a beanie style--picking random colors but making sure that they are all represented in each hat...I want to use up all of the colors as I am sick of them... Cheesy

Always - I know some of the  steampunk costume pieces are going to be leather, but it's all still quite hazy at the moment.  I keep putting those costumes off because the dress I'd like to make takes 18 yards of fabric!   Shocked  I'm just working with some leather samples from an upholstery shop that I got for free, and I've got a couple little purses pinned that I thought would be good practice, since I've never really worked with it before.

fishstix--I am going to go look for some cute leather pouches...maybe with some beading and jewelry...

I applaud you for making costumes--they do require a lot of fabric!  We have an outlet store here where a lot of renfaire seamstresses go to buy velvets and wools for super cheap...I see them walking out with their carts filled just to make one or two dresses or capes!
