So much beautiful items in so little time.
Fantasticmo---great afghan, nice colors. It looks very warm.
Krismith---Oh, I love looking at charm jewellery. You are inspiring me to make one for myself.
P_E_S_T---Your apron is long enough to really protect your clothing, much more useful than the ones store bought.
Plaidpineapple---cute quilt. I hope you did better than me at cutting the edges. I cut too far and had to resew quite a few sides! Don't you find your hands hurt after all this cutting?
MissingWillow---I am tempted to lick the screen, naan bread is so good. Good thing I can't smell it...
Sheepblue---I love your Sherlock bag, but the Valentine's one is pretty charming too.
That1girl---Homemade socks? Wow! I only knit baby ones. Yours look very comfortable.
Trinalocakary--- I love your quote and the colors of the doodling are beautiful on that black background.
Wagonswet---What a wonderful idea to honor your family. The white background and simple geometric design really let the fabrics shine.
I am working on pillows for the couch.

So - beautiful people, I had the most fun yesterday and thought I would share as a) it will make you smile and b) puts me 6 / 50 in my 2013 crafting !

Yesterday was the birthday party for the daughter of my dearest friends - Anna and Duncan. 12 weeks ago, Duncan suffered an enormous stroke and I have been Annas extra adult over the last few weeks whilst Duncan regenerates.
Amalia was 5 and wanted a cat themed birthday party, so we had cat bowls with names on to eat party food, chalk drawn paw prints all over the front drive and sugar mice hunting.
She also wanted to "make stuff with Aunty Jolene", and so I got on my thinking cap, and came up with the idea of getting them making cat hand puppets.
I had already pre-sewn the basic shape, and sewn on the nose and mouth, I then popped onto the table various elements  for them to glue to the cat - patches for the tummy, ears and eyes. I had also sewn a button onto the rear end of the cat (It didnt hurt I promise), and I gave them each a length of cut up fluffy sock which I cut a quick botton hole in for them to slip onto the button - voila "TAIL !!!"
The final bit was a little bell on a pretty bit of button and tada !!! CATS !!!!!!!
Hope you enjoy Smiley

Gone for the weekend and so much awesomeness! Hats! Yummy food! Super cute charm bracelets! Socks, mitts and the most adorable puppets! I need to go back and take a second look to see if I missed anything.

I made my valentine wreath this weekend. I will take pictures today.

I finished another project, just a little wall hanging. While I was letting my glue gun heat up, I decided to do a little cleaning. I put away some beads but apparently it wasn't a sturdy place to put them cause they all fell on the floor. Sad

glad it's not just me that does things like that Smiley

those cat puppets are awesome!!

And to add to the list of UK peeps - I'm in N Yorks. Unfortunately far to far away for a meet up Sad  Cry Cry

P_E_S_T Those cats are so cute . . . and the puppets aren't bad either! Grin Looks like the kids had a lot of fun.

Everyone seems to be getting things done at a goodly rate except for me. Have been bogged down by school and other commitments, but hope to get my crafty stuff going soon. Have to start on my swaps too since postage rates go up here in the US on Jan. 27th. Want to do as many send-outs as possible before that date.
