I do not like tabi socks either...I feel like my feet are deformed or something...but my nieces wear flip flops all year, even in the cold, so I thought they would like them! Grin

I have uses for the lovely yarns you sent to me as well, bushbaby...yummy!

ok, my dear friend cackle was kind enough to take a few pictures of a small but time consuming project I made for her in October...by golly, it is going here better late than never!

I made one of those little (and pretty useless but cute), macaroon purses!  Since they can't really hold a lot, I decided to stick a surprise inside! Grin  It is about the size of a 50 cent piece...

Deathbeforedishes...yay for knitting...a garter stitch scarf is always lovely!

Phew! I didn't know that purling was considering a stitch. I thought that the 'knit stitch' was supposed to be alternated with the purling for support or what not. I still don't really know how to knit, per se, but I am so proud that I was able to do something with the darned needles that have been sitting in my craft area for years.

'Garter stitch scarf' sounds so much better than 'look what I made with the remnant of a skein and two needles'! Wink

The garter stitch is all knit stitches on two needles...dominant hand needle pointing up..have fun learning and finding new stitches and projects to do...YOU TUBE has been a big help as well as my local LYS for unusual stitches or complicated patterns!  HAVE FUN!

Last project post of 2013!  My last minute "finish all the WIPs!!!!" resulted in a paltry 3 finishes, but I blame being really sick (which is also what I blame the new start today on... craziness!).  I don't really hold out much hope of getting a lot done tomorrow to start the new year, great way to kick off a new beginning, sniffling and hacking!

188. Finally finished the brown and black skirt I started awhile back, it just needed hemming.  I don't like it and will never wear it, but it's done!

189. One more turban got finished, I have about 3 or 4 more to make.  I know you're all tired of seeing the same stuff over and over...

190. Purple Hip Wrap - I've had this fabric sliced up for awhile, I just needed some sort of waistband on it to be able to wear it.  And now it does!  It's really fun fabric, and I have another piece that also needs to have a waistband put on it.

It's a ruffled fabric, I think I got it at Hobby Lobby, though Joann and Hancock have it, too.  I just cut between the ruffles and turned it sideways!

Thanks!  I do believe I have some of that fabric...what a clever idea...I might need to embellish mine a bit since it is black and my pants are black...

Always, I LOVE LOVE that little jack O' lantern macaroon purse!!!

Ok, here's the last of the projects I made in 2013!

Stocking for our cat Crystal

Minion dress as Beetle Juice

Little Grr Hoop

Skeleton Hair Barrette and Sugar Skull Magnets

I also did the 365 Picture Project, it's where you take at least one picture everyday. Here are some of those.

So that puts me at 90 for the year, so close to my goal of 100!  Smiley

Thanks, QNM--they are not practical but they are cute and fun to make...I have been saving jean zippers (metal kind) for making more...

That is one gorgeous sunset...and I love the angle of the library books...

Also, love your hoops and the minion!!!  I want to do a lot more with felt this year...I discovered wool felt and just love how it is moldable...
