The rock covers totally made me laugh.   Grin

They're really pretty, though, I like the contrast of the yarn and the rock.

So, I just got an unexpected windfall and yesterday went to buy a new sewing machine.  Grin

It needed a mat to sit on, so I have just 'whipped this up'.  OMG, it was so quick.  My old machine couldn't handle chain piecing patchwork together, but this was fine.

There are still human errors, but the machine is a dream. I love it.

I love being able to sew because you can just "whip up" stuff you need!
Such a practical skill to have!

Love your interesting mix of fabrics! The batik with the skulls...so Craftster! Grin

Loads of cool stuff gang.

Pinokeo, fantastic carving.

Tex, I am kicking myself for leaving that fabric at Ikea because it was too heavy for a quilt back.  Tote bags for everyone.  I hope it is still there, next time I get near an Ikea.  If not, there were a lot of other home dec weights to choose from.

That1.  Gorgeous work.

Love the dresses.

Always, love the rocks and the tiny bird.  Amazing.  Make my head spin to think of doing something that small and precise.

Ren, Yay for your new machine.  The mat is great.

Necklace, wow.

And everyone else I missed.  It isn't a lack of admiration but a limited memory that keeps me from commenting on everything, partcularly when I miss a day and you all get 4 pages ahead of me.

I have been getting some work done around here.  I think this might count for the challenge entry, 'making things for a show'.  There are 12 adult shirts and 15 onsies in there with another 6 onsies and a couple adults drying as I type.

I'm going to try a booth at a local Peach Festival and see how things go.

I don't think I posted this here so I'll just put in a thumbnail.  I managed one quilt finish in July.  I have another that just needs a wee bit of binding to be stitched and it will be done.

I don't have any pictures but I also spent some time with my nephews.  I taught the youngest to bake a pie and to mix up some bbq rub for a Christmas present.  He was a doll to work with.

I'd buy them, waggonswest!  They look so summery and fun as well!

Working with kids, teaching them things, is a wonderful thing, too!

Love that bunting quilt!

There are many beautiful crafted items posted since I last looked, I admire them but I can't comment on all of them. I love the quilts. The wood carvings amaze me, what kind of wood do you use? Do you buy it or cut and dry it yourself? The died clothes are very colorful and joyous. The necklace is more an art piece than a craft. The rocks demonstrate great skills, that would look nice on Easter eggs too. All the dresses and knitted clothing are fantastic too.

Some of you already have 50 projects done!

I have finally access to my computer and it isn't working anymore. I still have to wait to post pictures.

Most of the wood that I use is basswood, but I also use willow, sugar pine, cherry and walnut.

And I usually buy the basswood, but the other wood is found wood.

Thanks for the answer. I did not know what a sugar pine tree was. It seems to be very impressive, especially the size of the pine cones! Does the resin really taste sweet?

I've finally managed to get some things done. And I think that they all qualify for the challenge (except possibly the cake).
