Oh that is so lovely!!  Is the doily on the bottom the base or is it sewn on?  I would love that pattern... Grin

The medallion is  the base and the netting is crocheted onto it. The pattern I used is Mum Market Bag by Emily Bittel which was a free download but I didn't keep the web-addy. Try Googling the bag name. If you can't find it, I'll send a hard copy when I send your quilt blocks for our swap group. I changed the pattern slightly. I used two colors of yarn, but the original pattern used 1 varigated yarn. I switched colors on Rds 6 and 22, eliminated rd 27, and shortened the strap because I ran out of yarn. I'm going to make one with varigated yarn next, but this one needed to be done in two colors for my crochet group's entry in our county fair.

Thanks! I found it!  I put it in my queue!  I like the shortened handles, too...

My last ditch attempted at getting some crafting in before the beginning of August, when hubby went to work this afternoon ( YES!! a decent job for him at last!!) I very impatiently hand wound elastic onto 9 bobbins and made a shirred top sundress  Grin
I love these dresses but the ones in the shops don't seem to take into account the volume of plus size boobs! The elastic part seems to always fall halfway across my bust rather than under it which makes the rest of the dress just hang from that point  Undecided not an attractive look, I like to show that I do have a waist somewhere in the middle  Wink
2 metres of cotton,2 spools of shirring elastic and I'm a happy gal  Grin
apologies for the crap pics  Roll Eyes

I'm buying a huge spool of elastic off of ebay as soon as hubby gets paid so I can make a load of these!

Wow, Kookaloo Starr, you're shirring is so tidy. I have been practising, made 2 dresses, well 1 and a half, but nowhere near as tidy awesome.

Looks amazing  Cheesy

I agree that the store bought ones need to be made longer to fit UNDER the boobs...yours turned out very neat and tidy...and such happy summer colors... Grin
