I love that you dye stuff to make it new again!  What a lovely pattern of tie dye--is there a trick to make it vertical like stripes?

I ruin white clothes all the time but I still buy it...it might be time to try dyeing since it might cover up the inevitable stains I seem to get.

I managed to make three mug rugs to add to my list:

This is my favorite and you can see more here:

I fan folded(don't know the real term!) the dress before tying string around it & dyed it yellow, then re-folded it and over-dyed it with the green. Its always a surprise for me how things turn out  Grin

Cry I was hoping to finish my shawl project for myself in time for this months challenge (it is deffinatly a large progect) but I am now having to rip out the lace border section for the 4th time! Can't believe I have made such a mess of such a simple pattern  Angry I know it's my 1st lace type pattern but still, i picked it because it was a beginners one. *sigh* oh well, guess I will just have to keep working at it.  Roll Eyes

Do not feel bad at all...I ripped out my last lace edge shawl 7 times...I just started ripping out the last 4 rows of my current one...I think I rely too much on my count and not what stitch I am doing to get that count...Sad

Good luck, I know you can get it done!

I'm actually not as upset about having to do this again as I was on the 2nd time frogging -  I was almost finished ripping it out when snapped my yarn badly, swore loudly and prompt burst in to tears! I realised I was getting too worked up about it so a cup of tea, a DH hug, a biscuit and a few deep breaths later I was calm enough to get my knitting to state I could take to my sunday morning stitch n chat the next day and get some experienced help with counting stitches & fixing issues.

I have some very cool and patient 'craft-sisters' (even though 2 of them are old enough to be my grandmother or mother!) our little group and they got me back on track within a few hours Smiley Thank Gaia for 'craftster-hood'  Grin

Excellent!  I have learned to catch my errors early and to pay better attention to the graphs...also, to let a mistake go...so far, no one has found any mistakes I might have made... Grin

Hellloooooo everybody. Feels like forever since I've posted anything - slightly over did it on the swap front hahahaha.
Anyhoooo here I sit on route through France for my summer holiday, so whilst the road us clear and hubby not needing my map skills, I thought I'd post up my recent fetish !!!
You will know me well for my felted jumper blankets, well I'm always wondering what to do with the left overs - my sons were recently playing with a couple of cast away cuffs when a spark of inspiration occurred .......
Upcycled wrist warmers, can't wait for autumn now Smiley
