Nice job everyone.  I haven't had much time lately for anything.  But I did finally finish my bench.  I decided on a beach theme, so I have crayfish on newspaper.  I liked the color.

Too bad cleaning couldn't count lol. I just cleaned out my freezer. On the bright side... once I'm done with the fridge I can start cooking again. And will have one less chore to distract me from crafting. Smiley

underthemountain...I did not think to make blueberry jelly!  Usually hubby's students eat them on the way to and from their drum lessons since my bushes are planted on the walkway up to the parking pad! I don't mind, but I might need to plant a few more just for us!  I bet it is yummy!

Hehe, if we lived by you there wouldn't be any berries left!  John and Lana are busy gobbling up the second tub as we speak!  Smiley  Lana loves the blueberry esp. so definitely make a batch!  Smiley

Lovely bench pinokeeo!

I killed a double batch of what would have been awesome choc-strawberry muffins by not putting in the sugar and now I has a sad.

But I didn't ruin my yarn crafting, so I have good things to share too:

My first Calorimetry

A mug rug with a Grace (from Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series

And a cowl with a bowtie for Master Five, because "bowties are cool"

Speaking of jelly and jams, I am usually a creature of habit and have mainly made just strawberry jam since that is what we always made at church growing up.  But because of craftster, I branched out a little and made some dandelion jelly this year. (Also referred to as vegan honey.)  It is nom nom nom nom...

I actually found out about it via craftster. I had never heard of it before. dreadlocklove posted about it in the vegan thread. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=408976.0#axzz2Yejp7G61

It tastes so much like honey. (My youngest won't eat honey because I made the mistake of calling it bee spit. I guess there are just some things she won't eat. Wink )  So it solved a problem and it was SOOOO much fun to make with my girls.  Now whenever we see the white puffy dandelions, we blow the seeds everywhere so we will have yellow dandelions to harvest.  Roll Eyes  We are the ones in the neighborhood spreading 'weeds'.

I tried uploading my photo, but either my cpu is rebelling or I am the one with photo issues... I am blaming the cpu.

Here is the link to the recipe if anyone wants to try it.

I will have to make sure that hubby does not kill the dandelions in the backyard!  It sounds yummy!  I use the leaves for wine or to saute (a bit bitter, but still tasty!)...thanks for sharing

My dad makes dandelion wine...SOOO good. I was a little skeptical at first, but it is everyone's favorite that drinks his wine.

Not much doing at the moment, I've got some things started but I'm having to look after my sister half of the week for the forseeable future and I can't craft at her house apart from maybe knitting or crochet. I took my yarn and started a cardi. Since I've been home I'm catching up on housework and sleep but I did dye a few things today.
A dress, capris and leggings that where white are now yellow and green  Grin I don't wear white so how these things find their way into my wardrobe I just don't know  Roll Eyes
