StickerChic87 I am in LOVE with the Typewriter coin purse. Adorable fabric.  I have wanted to try one of those frames.  I tried a style of frame that you glue in the fabric instead of hand sew it- and it was Horrible.  How difficult was it to apply the frame?

I've talked before about being an elementary school music teacher.  So I'm always looking for new instruments, new things to make, new ways to make my class more fun.  I made several of these last year for myself.  But they're hosting a session of World Music Drumming here in North Carolina at a friends school.  And she said "you should make these and sell them this summer!"  So....  I did.  This is definitely a.....

CHALLENGE ENTRY!

The whole set of maracas.

Here's some thumbnails of a few sets.

I bought a frame to make a coin purse, but I don't have fabric as cool as that typewriter fabric... or a pattern...  (why do I buy so many supplies?!)

So I've been a terrible crafter lately, but I think I did a pretty good job of being patient until the mojo came back, and I think it finally has!  Sorry for the photo dump!

A reconstruction of some khaki pants that were too short and very flared, that I made into ankle-length skinny pants.

A skirt made out of grey sweatshirt material (not very useful now, but will be awesome with tights in fall!)

A brown velvet skirt that also probably won't get worn until fall, but I'm really pleased with how it turned out!

That brings me up to a whole 7 projects for the year! (I know that's nothing compared to a lot of you, but I'm working with some serious time constraints so I'm encouraged by it)   I have one more completed thing that I just have to find the pictures for, and my head is spinning with ideas after power-reading about 20 pages of this thread!
