Unplugging for 5 days was very relaxing...too relaxing? Grin

I love coming here to see all the new projects!

K_Star--you are a panties -making machine!  One question...how should I put this? Do you need to line the crotch of the panty since it is made of the stretchy fabric?  Does the fabric "breathe"? Embarrassed

Also, what?  We need more info on your failed doll pincushion!!!

Paper_Beau--love your bee house...we have all sorts of bees living on our property...I love the natural bamboo and flower pot combo!  Let us know if the bees take up residence!

deathbeforedishes--ha ha love your stitching!  I have a whole book of naughty stitching that I want to do once I am better at my embroidery...congrats on learning the granny square...your friends are going to appreciate receiving afghans now!

P_E_S_T--your felting is so meaningful!  I also love your take on the Maypole...and the little Betsy...wonderful swap package!

oh bushbaby--I hope it is your package...I have already started a sock yarn shawl with one of the yarns I also sent to you...that is the ONE bad thing about the prizes...I seem to always have to get myself what I send out! Grin

Death - reading a crochet pattern is usually the hardest part, so I'd say you're doing very well! The nice things about granny squares: you can use up a lot of yarn scraps making them, there are tons of variations, it's not hard to lay them down then pick up where you left off, you can make clothing and so many things from them, they're small enough to be easily portable, and you can just keep increasing the sides until you have one giant, bed-sized quilt. The only down-side (from my perspective) is crocheting or sewing them together, then working in the yarn tails.

If traditional crochet pattern formats give you trouble, you might check out Japanese-style diagrams. The visual diagram is generally much easier to follow than the more traditional patterns. If you knit, you might try Tunisian crochet. The technique has several similarities to knitting and looks a lot like knitting when finished.

In any case, congratulations on mastering your first granny! Hope you'll be crocheting for decades to come!

-------------------------------------CHALLENGE ENTRY-------------------------------------------------------

I completed my yeti for my friend's girlfriend's son. (If that makes sense  Huh)

It is as a display item, not for the child to play with

Thread is here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=423715.0#axzz2TcuWru1m

This was 2nd attempt at making my own pattern Smiley

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is 1/2 of my adipose. This went to my friend Manille. His name is "Fat Cell" as she is trying to get fit and healthy!!
He sits on her desk at work

He does not have a thread yet

IT IS, IT IS!!!  I love both the fabulous yarns you chose for me  Grin. So soft, so scrummy. I just want to start working with them right now! Shame I have to finish all my other projects 1st.

Funny thing , the yarn you bought one for yourself as well is so not a colour I would have bought myself but having it in my hands I LOVE it and I think I have the perfect sock pattern I have been wanting to try.

Thank you so much alwaysinmyroom! perfect choices! x

I finished a doily and left it on my sisters table for her to discover when she gets home - A kind of genteel yarn bombing  Wink

It's not fully blocked, just ironed and lightly starched.

Pretty doily!
The adipose is fun, and that's a great yeti.
And, nice necklaces!
