Communication means PMing the organizer (and partner), right?  if someone posts in the thread that they will be sending late, is the organizer expected to see this and use this as official info?

I have searched through links and info in this here thread and not come across info I seek.  Would love some tips or stories of similar experience.

I always try to message the organizer and my partner if I think I'm going to be late.

I think if a swapper is going to be late they should be sending a pm to both their partner and their organizer.   Sometimes posts are missed in the thread and with a private message you can be sure the correct people are seeing it.

I agree - a pm should be involved for effective communication, whether it is sending late, or shipping/receiving.  Some people don't come on the forum that frequently and if there is a number of new posts in the thread, it may be easy to miss one small post among many.
