Here's a quilt I made for my sister-in-law for Christmas.  It is the first quilt I have ever made in all solid colours and I love it.  It was particularly hard to give this one away, but she did love it so much, so that made up for it!

Thanks so much!  I wanted something modern, but not too overwhelmingly so.

It looks gorgeously crisp and modern! Very beautiful! Did you follow a pattern for the color placement, choose it by eye, or have it be completely randomized?

Thanks so much!  I didn't follow any kind of pattern at all; however, I have learned that winging it and going with totally random never looks random!  Random really does have to be planned.  Smiley  I just eyeballed it and tried not to put one colour next to itself.  I sewed a bunch of strips and just placed them so it worked out.  The only thing I did find was that I had to try to space the yellow blocks out kind of evenly... a large space without a spot of yellow to brighten it seemed pretty obvious.

So my question is, do you have a single brother?  -Cause I'd love to be your sister-in-law if you'd make me one of these!!  Wink  Really pretty - I love it!

Ha ha!  No single brothers... do YOU have a single brother?  Because then we'd be in the same situation... Smiley

And, thank you!  That's to everyone who's taken the time to say nice things.  Smiley
