Another project I made for a Christmas swap!  Hoping Miss Barbaras son is enjoying him.  I cast this a few years back and fired it before selling my molds and kiln.  I just knew when I partnered with Miss Barbara in the 12 days of Christmas swap it needed to get painted and sent her way as a gift for her son!!!!
The technique I used is called drybrushing.  The entire piece is painted black and then multiple layers of acrylic paint are dry brushed on to create the intense colors with the black showing through for shading!

He does look wonderful and the dry brushing has created so much texture.

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.
