I need to know how to make distilled water WITHOUT the fancy equipment or by buying it.  I'm using it for a snow globe!  I heard that you could make Distilled Water by boiling water and then letting it cool.

Is this true?

If not... ideas please!

Thanks!

No - don't just boil it and call it distilled water - the point of distilled water in the snowglobes is that there is pure water with no impurities that could later cause cloudiness.  You can do it at home by boiling the water and allowing it to condense on something and collecting the condensation - that condensation should be pure water, leaving the impurities behind.
