I've been wanting to make a quilt for years, and have never before embarked on it, mostly because of setting impossibly high expectations of the imaginary quilt (hundreds of hand-stitiched hexagons, all made from fabrics with intense emotional resonance, destined to become a family heirloom - I'm not alone here, am I?). Then a friend gave me this Heather Ross panel, and I realised it was time to get on and break the quilting barrier. Thank goodness for the on-line sewing world - it would never have happened without a bit of real-time online support!
