Mini pine bough hoopla

I made this little hoopla for the OTT Winter Holiday swap for La Chapa.  One of her themes was for something with evergreen boughs/pine cones.  I found a stenciled image of pine cones which I thought was cool and translated that onto cotton muslin as an embroidered piece.  It was placed on a 4 inch hoop, so as to fit in the OTT dimensions, and I decorated the hoop with candy striped ribbon I tinted to give a vintage look, and some real pine cones I found near my house when walking the dog. 





I really liked it.  It was a piece that I really enjoyed making, and as such, I was able to start and finish in a day - you know when you are so enjoying doing something, time flies, and you can't put it down - this was one of those, so it was consequently hard to give away too!
