Willing to personal swap for art of my doggies!

I made a bunch of these for my guy friends for our annual get together this past weekend.  I saw this great vintage pin up girl image on a beer can that DH had and thought I had to do something with them.  Anyways, they ended up being well received.

They are made with two stars die cut from the cans, and folded and glued together, with the seams soldered to cover the sharp edges.

I posted some more pics and details on my blog.

What do you think?

Thank you!

One of my best purchases ever was a die cutting/embossing machine - I have used it for so many things since buying it like cutting and embossing paper, leather, felts - so many things.  However, these could be made, if you were willing to spend more time and effort, with metal cutting shears too - but it would be hard on the hands I feel - my hands were feeling it  just cutting the metal out.  Of course, that was also when I was doing a lot of work with 16 gauge jump rings to make some chainmaille stars too so it could have been cumulative.  The soldering was simple soldering using an electical soldering tool rather than a torch.

You are totally right about crafting for guys - it is soooo much easier crafting for the women in my life.  Luckily some of my guy friends are girlie loving pervs, so I have always been successful with girlie focussed gifts - crocheted boob pillows, a pin up girl lamp and storybook, pin up girl stencilled kitchenware.  I need more guy gifts that are less girlie focussed though.  Other than food gifts!
