I too LOVE these! What a great way to recycle!  And I too am wondering how you made their shape exactly - if you have time could you explane it a little?
Thanks

Not *sharp*, but rather milled, almost like the edge of a quarter.  I'm toying with the idea of coating them in Envirotex epoxy/resin stuff...but without they make such a nice ringing nose when you shuffle them!

Well, it was moreso a "banging method".  We used the head of a balpeen hammer and stuck it in the cap...and tapped it out a little with another hammer.  Next, we shaped them with the hammer some then put them between two pieces of 2x4 wood and hammered it three times facing up, then once or twice facing down.  It's kinda tricky because if you hammer it too hard or tap it at an angle, the cap can either give too much, start to split, curl, crinkle, or implode all-together. It was an awful lot of trial-and-error, but totally worth it.  Glad you like them!
