I just learned stencilling last weekend because first I wanted to stencil something.  Grin But I'm not good enough yet.
Yes, swaps are a good way to learn something new, like the crocodile stitch.  Wink Or crocheting cables. (By the way I don't know if you've noticed, but the hat I've made you has crochet cables. I noticed you had something like that on your Pinterest.)

I'm getting close to the end of my scarf for Johnson.mom2two.  I will be finishing this week and hope to ship by early next week!  Whew, I love the idea of being early for this swap!

Hang in there Sylvani you'll get it figured out!

I too am wanting to create something special since mine will be sewn and my partnered is sending me something knitted.  I have decided on what to do that will make it just a little more special  and take me a while.  Hoping to get to cutting it out tonight.  Surely I cant screw this up!!!!

i finished crocheting tonight! i tried a new pattern and it turned out a bit wonky, i'm not sure if that was my doing or the patterns doing. i'm going to try to block it tonight and see how that works out. if not it's onto plan b!

Still here! I feel like I am behind already reading that some of you are almost done! I am excited to try out some new skills, and learn more as I make this scarf! I just finished my last swap so am looking at fabric and patterns this week, and plan to start crafting next weekend! Yay!

It is my favorite hat! I have yet to learn the crocodile stitch and I was wondering what the stitches were on the hat...a lot of things on my Pinterest are things I want to learn!

I am almost done with my knitted scarf for deathbeforedishes!  I used stitch I learned last year but adapted it to a yummy yarn...I think there is going to be left over yarn to make a little something for myself as well...I can't wait to get a new scarf...winter has been warm but the news said that we are about to be hit with REAL winter snow and cold temperatures starting today! Sad

Oh, I'm totally done, too!  Except no, not really.  Grin

I haven't started.  But, I have my supplies!  And I have a pattern!  Progress.  Grin

I am heading out west to a wedding this weekend, so I plan to be working on it on a few plane rides.  Smiley
