Huh I can not for the life of me find any sort of technique for sewing socks unless they're simply those little lacy things for high heels.  I'm a pretty good seamstress but I can't crochet or knit and I really want to make my own over the knee socks or stockings.  Before I take a millionth stab at learning to crochet/knit (which I kinda despise) anyone have an idea?
