I was inspired by Seegmonster's wonderful wrap skirts with the interesting J curve. See http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=237248.0. Her pictures were wonderful and I made my own! Added some length to the top.

It swirls and is fun for dancing. I love it. I'm working on another for spring....spring is coming right???

Note scale: Top width of piece A should be approx. 7" wide.

J-Panel Wrap Skirt
Thanks to Seegmonster at Craftster.org for posting pictures.

Skirt is approx. 24” long. I extended the top panel to make the skirt longer.

I made 10 panels. If you need it wider, just add a panel or two.  I finished with a narrow rolled hem. Fold over 1/4”, then fold again and stitch.

If you want to use just one color, simply tape or pin the pattern pieces together and treat it as a single J shape.

All pieces are cut from the same side of the fabric.
Do not flip pattern pieces over. 1/2“ seam allowance.

Waist/Tie. Cut strips 4” wide and piece
together to desired length. Allow for
overlap and ties, at least twice the
length of the top of the skirt. Fold
in half, and attach to top of skirt.

It is flattering too. Which I need as I am not as slim as I once was! And wrap skirts are so-o-o-o forgiving.

This will be a clever way to use up odds and ends! I can see it in hippie patchwork style!

You're mistaken, "Winter is coming." Smiley

Love the fabric choices and the length addition. I'm thinking of making a non-wrap version because it's very windy here on the plains.

I think a non-wrap version would be great. I love the way it swirls and swishes without being too full. It is very slimming, yet fun!.

Thank you for posting this. I've been wanting to recreate a skirt I bought 15 years ago and was much loved and has been disintegrating. Thank You!!! Now I'm on my way to having many fabulous skirts!
