Goodness, are my fingers tired and sore! I got struck with some last minute inspiration to stitch Maori designs in silver on black napkins for my SIL from New Zealand. I googled Maori symbols and freehanded these from what I found. As if working with metallic thread wasn't bad enough, I got froggy and learned some new stitches for this (Double Chain Stitch and Herringbone Ladder Stitch). I also learned that I've been doing my stem stitch wrong for years and learned to do it right (so much more efficient!).
