I am totally addicted to ghilie's Cupcake pattern, having made 5 dolls for my friends and I for Christmas.  She includes some alternate heads for the pattern, so this weekend I took a go at the fox head.

It was quite some work for me to draw out and then stitch together foxy markings for this doll (they're not included on the pattern, neither is the tail).  They're not applique, I cut up that precious little face to put those cheeks on, lol...  Also, I wish I'd not accidently sewn the arms up with white instead of black, but oh well.  These dolls are just for fun and this one is going to my kids anyway. I'm happy with him and the dolls are starting to make me want to dig out my sewing machine and stop being afraid of it! Cheesy

He's a cutie.  You did a good job on him.  Have you thought about taking a brown/black felt tip marker & coloring the stitches?  I've found that it usually works well.  The color might come out if you wash him but can always be replaced.

That is a fantastic idea.  Thanks!  I'll give it shot, it certainly can't hurt!  Smiley

Very nice, I love the eyes, and the way you did the white patches around the eyes!

I like the white stitching, it gives it character ^^ Great work, heheh, that fluffy tail is the best!

Aw, I love your little fox doll. So cute!
I wouldn't worry about the stitching...like Rinique said, it adds character. Smiley

You did such a great job modding the pattern. I actually love the stitching detail. He's beautiful Smiley
