Back

I made this out of a couple of pairs of old jeans.  I made a basic reconstructed jean skirt, and then pinned a ruffle together out of left-over denim from the legs.  I haven't used my sewing maching in forever, and I'm not so good with the "measuring" or "straight lines" so I'm really excited about how this turned out.

And here is another jean skirt I made, sans ruffle.

That's hot! I have one like that (the first one), only I used a different color fabric at the ends, not denim.

I love the first one that! It's super cute!

I made a similar skirt not too long ago and this is how I did the ruffles.

The blue is the wrong side of the fabric. Basically you just sort of pleat it the desired width, press it with an iron and then stitch it across the top. Notice how the beginning top fold of each new ruffle lines up with the end bottom fold of the one before.
