Hardly the season to be making big furry hats, but I only recently got around to photographing them.

Tutorial of minimal help:
1.  Draw two half circles on two separate pieces of fauxfur.  I used a knitted skullcap that already was about the right size.  The fur doesn't stretch, so make sure it is already the right size.  You can also extend the edge of the circles a little to make the hat come over your forehead, instead of just perch on your head.
2.  Sew the two pieces of fauxfur together with a whipstitch with the fur on the inside.  Machine sewing catches the fur and gets really messy.
3.  Flip that hat right side out and then show off your new muppet-haute couture.  If you're really industrious, you could try lining the hat with some satin-y material, but I'm not that advanced in sewing quite yet.

Zim's or Michael's have little scraps of faux fur that are the perfect size for this.

SuperFuzz!  I live them!  I'd probably come up to you out of the middle of nowhere and play with your hats.
