choose a quote - can be anything really, write it on one side. Well - write, stamp, cut words from mags, print out, use transfers - what ever takes your fancy really, and then 'do' the prompt on the other side.

So if your prompt is something like 'how do you doodle?' you would put that phrase on one side and doodle in whatever style you use on the other.

Hope this helps Cheesy

Ooo, I jumped in on that. I'm going to do the art journaling craftalong and the 50 in 2013. Craftalongs are a little less commitment than swaps (obviously, no one expects anything in return:P) but also keep me making things and in-practice.

As far as the prompts, I'm nearly done with all the wording and all I've got left to do is my examples. I can't wait to send!

Are both sides supposed to be fully covered? Is anybody letting the cards "shine through" in some way? I have NO idea what I"m doing... Sigh.

Worse... I totally forgot my brilliant idea when I started working on them tonight lol. Forgive me, partners, but I'm probably sticking to "pretty much the same" for all partners... because I'm just not good enough at these things.

I have quite a few that has bits of the card showing that I think are really cool. I'm going the "different for everyone" route, but I just hope that everyone likes the ones I pick for them! Tongue

i've either painted, used oil pastels, or covered my cards with some kind of paper (scrapbook/tissue/etc.) but i'm sure whatever you do will turn out great, eclectic dreamer!

i don't usually prep much ahead of time, so some of mine are completely covered, others have parts showing through. i have one i did today where i actually cut up one of my cards then glued it onto another. once i got going i got more loose. i've been reusing some of the prompts, but doing them diffrently. i'm also doing the art journal along
