rainfallingonatinro of: haha... I got all excited, "What a great idea! I have a typewriter" then remembered it's still at Mom's where my brother left it (returning to me but she's halfway between us). Keep forgetting to take it when I visit.

must admit that I leave paint as is - but not using so far this swap. I'm no good painting tiny, maybe I should - get me out my comfort zone!

Ah - now I know what my last prompt will be Smiley

5 finished, 10 ready for 'doing', 5 still to start (but not for long  Wink)

I'm using a matte finishing spray over all of mine, just to prevent smudging/color transfer on them. By the way, I've been informed that some of the ones I used this spray on have a slight spray-painty odor, so is that going to be a problem for those in Groups 1, 3, and 4 with perfume/fragrance allergies? Let me know and I won't do it to yours.

i've painted some with acrylic and i've just been leaving them as is. i've also done a couple with oil pastels and for those i've been coating them with a thin coat of mod podge to keep 'em from smudging. i did spray one card with a little bit of hair spray (that's usually what i do when i use oil pastels in my art journal!) but my hair spray is very fragrant this time around! i was afraid it may be too much for people with perfume/fragrance allergies, which is why i turned to the mod podge.

anywho, i now have 3 more cards to go! well, 3 to prepare and put prompts on. then i have 8 cards that i still have to do the prompt on and then i'm done! this has been such a fun swap. it really has gotten my back into a more creative mood =)

i've got my cards decorated, i just have to put the prompts on the back. i have a couple where i was worried about layers getting knocked around, and i found individual plastic sleeves like you would put on baseball cards or atc cards. i was also laminating some things for a teacher at school, and thought that could be pretty great as well.

I don't know if it is the cards I have or not, but I can't get any kind of paint to stick to the cards. I guess I'll go get some of the gesso this weekend.  Undecided
