Details of swap:
Journaling Prompts

Find a deck of cards and alter them write/print/stamp a prompt on one side and do the prompt on the other!  A fun, no pressure swap, with no stalking of partners, just your own interpretation of different prompts.
So what to do? Basically get an ordinary pack of playing cards, find or make up a list of journaling or art journaling prompts, place the prompt text on one side of the card, then  do the prompt on the other side of the card in your preferred style. Art Journaling or Journaling styles are acceptable. You can do the same prompts for each of your partners, or you can do different prompts - its up to you. We will be sending 2 cards to each partner so please think about time commitment when signing up as 30 cards will take a while to do! (5 partners x 3 groups =15 partners x 2 cards each = 30 cards!)

Please dont punch holes in the cards (they may not be where your partner wants them) and please dont make them too 3D as some people may want to put them in plastic wallets or to bind the cards into a book of some kind.

Depending on numbers I will split us into groups of up to 6.
If you are interested in being in more than one group please let me know on the questionnaire. You may be in a maximum of 3 groups. Please understand that multiple groups are dependent on the number of participants and that the group size may vary slightly, but will be as even as possible.

This is open to everyone, so please only sign up if you are willing to post internationally ESPECIALLY if you want to be in multiple groups (we will be sending envelopes only, so postage shouldnt be a problem). Also as we will only be sending envelopes, DCs are not required but proof of posting IS a requirement for this swap, just in case something goes missing (dont know how this works in other countries, but in UK you ask for proof of posting when you send at post office and you get receipt with details of the addressee, date sent etc on it). Resending wont be required if something goes missing but ONLY if you can provide proof of posting, otherwise you will be required to resend.

Communication is vital for a fun swap so please post in the discussion thread at least once a week. Also please respond quickly to pms from your partners and the organizers. When sending pms to the organizer/co-organizer please use the following in the subject line: Journaling Prompts sent/received/late/help etc. Please pm your group leader and your partners when you send and when you receive.
If you have any questions regarding the swap, communication etc please ask in the discussion thread or send the organizer a pm.

As organizer I reserve the right to refuse any applicant based on poor feedback.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer AND co-organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER
Name of swap: Journal Prompt Swap
Craftster username:
Email address:
Your real name:

Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country?

Confirm that are at least 16 years old or, if not, that you have moderator approval (Yes/No)

Will you post in the discussion thread at least once a week (feedback will reflect any lack of communication)?
Can you take photos before you send and when you receive? (If you dont have access to camera/scanner please let your partners know so they can post pictures.)
Do you want to be in a more than one group? If so, how many? (You may be in UP TO 3 groups.)
Any allergens in your house? (pets, smoke etc)
Any allergies? (please only list if relevant to this swap)
What are your normal themes/styles?
Anything YOU DO NOT WANT TO receive (nudity, profanity, something else)?

Any problems, please let me know!

littlehajericka will be looking after groups 2 & 3 (the ones I'm not in)- please send her a message, as well as your partner, each time you send AND receive!

I will be looking after groups 1 & 4 (yup - the ones I am in!). Again - please send messages to me and your partner when you send and receive.

I'm heading to bed now, so I'll send out questionnaires to each group tomorrow (well, today as just gone midnight here!)

Oh this is a toughie...I would love to have a bunch of other people's art journaling to actually see and touch...but it sounds like this involves making a lot of cards in not a very long amount of time...gotta think about this!

Hey all, I'm co-organizing with mini_mum and I'll do my best to answer questions about the swap! I have messaged her to confirm the send-out date.

If you sign up for one group, the most partners you would have is 6 but it could be less depending on how many people sign up for the swap. And you will make two cards for each partner, so if you are in one group then the most cards you would be sending is 12.

Because this swap doesn't really involve stalking, it is possible to start as soon as you like. You are really making cards in your own style and then sending them to partners.

amended the send out date to the 16th Jan - thank you for picking that up!

littlehajerika almost got it right - 6 in a group = 5 partners.
Requirement is for 2 cards per partner so depending on how many groups you would like it could be up to 30 cards. However, as littlehajerika said - this is a swap without stalking - you choose the prompts to do, and you interpret them in your style (leaving me and littlehajerika to sort out the issues with style likes/dislikes and allergies etc) so you can start doing the cards as soon as you sign up. Also - you could do the same 2 prompts for each partner if you wanted to, making it all a bit easier.

If the consensus is that the send-outs are to early, I am willing to push them back a week or so.

This sounds like so much fun! But I think I will do a "Craft along" rather than swapping.

Hmm, I'll have to think about this one for upcoming swaps and what I'm currently signed up for.
