I'm thinking of organizing another Givers/needers swap after the holidays. I believe it's been a while since the last swap was done. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=391396.0 this is a link to round 10 which can give more information about the swap for those who aren't familiar with it. Basically you sign up as either a giver, a needer or both. when filling out the questionaire you write what supplies you can give (ie fabric, paint, clay etc..), how many packages you could send, or the craft supplies you are in need of. The giver mails their unneeded supplies to the needer, and the needer sends a thankyou package in the form of a craft. The thankyou craft requirement is 1 small item, though you could craft bigger if you'd like to.

If noone is offering the craft supplies you need, you will be informed so you can possibly expand on your list of wanted supplies. for this swap, first time swappers can be givers, but needers must have completed at least one swap before this one. There will be two send out dates, one for the givers and another, a couple weeks, later for the needers to send their thankyous.

I will start this swap right after new years if there is interest, I think with the holidays so close it makes sense to wait until afterwards so people aren't so busy. If you're interested you should go through your stash now and set aside anything you can offer so writing the questionnaire will be quick and nothing will be forgotten.

I might also need a co-organizer so if anyone is interested please let me know...it's ok if you have never done it before I don't mind helping you get the hang of things. This swap tends to get kinda hectic so it would really be appreciated

These swaps are wonderful. I'll be signing up when you're ready to begin, hopefully as both. Time to start digging through my stash!

Might be interested as a giver. If I clear out enough stuff I may actually have room to craft again!

Oh! I was hoping there'd be another one of these! You can probably count me in. I'm definitely in need of papercrafting stuff. I'll have to see if I have anything to give... I just gave away a whole box of fabric like a month ago. lol  Tongue

I know I'll have paper and a pair of embossing folders to clear out. Have to check my fabric and yarn supplies as well. May have a quilting book and some cross-stitch patterns, too. Sometimes I buy so much stuff that I just forget what I already have. I'm really trying not to do that. Think that needs to be my #1 New Year's resolution.

Is this going to be like a shop the swap type deal, or one where the organizer is matching up givers and needers?

I have some small punches, a sewing book, probably some crochet patterns, and a variety of magazines, maybe some yarn, beads, etc.

I got the impression that we might be matched up. But if we have several packages we're willing to send, it might be with more than one person. Tiffi, is that the plan or have I misunderstood? I'm in any way you want to run it.

Its the kinda swap where i pair everyone together. you might send to more than one person if you say that you are willing to but thats really up to you. The link i posted shows you the questionnaire that you will fill out. if you're a giver, you tell me what you have to give like yarn or paper supplies etc...if you're a giver you tell me what craft supplies you need. Or you can do both since you can be a giver and a needer if you want, sometimes you have way too many supplies or leftovers for one craft, but need something for another.

Oh definately have been hoping for this swap again!  I always need different fabric, with more current prints, and I have fabric to give that is just too familiar to me and I no longer see possibilities for, you know?  And I need different craft supplies, I am bored with what I have I guess.I'll be signing up for sure!!!

Soo... Even after giving away a whole box of fabric in November, I went through my stash and managed to put together another large box of fabric. If I add in ribbon, lace, etc I could probably make 2 small/medium sized givers boxes. lol Roll Eyes

What kind of die cutting supplies do you want?

Yes you can be a giver and a needer. the only restrictions are for first time swappers. people who have never done a swap can only sign up as a giver.

Virtually anything - but would love some letter dies, or smaller dies like the Sizzix movers and shapers for making tags, or using with things like shrink plastic.

I can't organize but I would love to participate! Texscrapper, are you really game for being the org?

I would also like to point out that Personal Swaps are always fun, too, so if you see something someone has been saying they want and you have it all then go ahead and PM them to see if they will swap with you off the record.
