Snazzy Salt Dough Ornaments for gifts this year.

I went on strike this year I wen on strike from stressing about the Holidays. Every year I always worry about how to pay the bills after Christmas, but not this year. I decided to make everyone Salt Dough ornaments for presents. Each extended family is going to get an ornament set.
Here is how they came out.

I'm also making paper boxes to put them in out of recycled paper grocery bags.

Those are really nice! I'm sure everyone will love those. I love that the colors are not the typical "christmas" colors!! 
Good idea with the not stressing about spending money. I make my immediate family gifts(knit, crochet) and everyone else gets just a card. I don't make enough to stress about getting everyone something, and I don't expect anything. My dh and I don't do gifts for each other either. We do Christmas morning breakfast. And then go to our families for the rest of the day

Thanks! I didn't want them to be just plain Christmas colors. I'm glad you like them. I'm glad you are able to have a wonderfully sounding stress free Holiday. Re-learning how to knit and crochet is on my list of things to do so I can make some hats and things. Happy Holidays!

I'm so with twisted on this. I haven't afforded Christmas for years, no money to travel or anything, so I make stuff and get it to Mom's (distribution central) when I can and the family understands. Now I make even less, so I'm not stressed about the holidays. I just make things and know family and friends love it anyway. Too much other real life stuff to worry about. Your ornaments are awesome, and though I never put up a tree I do place  special ornaments around the house on the holidays.

Super cute! I made a bunch of these recently, now I just have to paint them! We draw names on my Hubby's side (four siblings all together and 3 are married) for the adults. But I started making each family an ornament every year with their last name and the year on it. It has been really fun coming up with different ideas and the neices and nephew get a kick out of it.

Yeah my husband's family is similar. He is one of 5 and 3 are married with kids, we draw one kid each family, and one adult each. I thought this would be a nice way so that everyone gets a little something. Especially because we don't get to see them often.
