Hi all!

I have had this idea ever since seeing a similar topic on here ages ago...do you think I can find that now though?!

I got a lovely New York canvas for my birthday and instantly thought that it would be perfect as a hid away for my necklaces as its about 60cm tall and 150cm long but super light as its a thin canvas at only 1.8cm!

So with a rectangle of MDF, a couple of hinges, some small nails and a lick of paint it was ready! The edges are painted to match the wall while the black makes the necklaces stand out. As you can see in that picture you wouldn't even know anythign was there unless you knew to look for it!

Thanks for looking!  Grin

~on a side note~

I am also making another one behind another canvas to store away some of my crafting supplies! I am still deciding exactly what will be hanging on the rest of this though so I can't paint it yet.

Am thinking of including my knitting needles but need to make sure I can get them in and out easily first (which is why the items have been rearranged in the picture above which is the most recent picture) so am thinking of mounting this to open side ways with much larger hinges and a magnetic closure to hold some of the weight on the far side

I will post this once it is finished Smiley

LOVE that idea, my craft space is also the spare bedroom and it would be so much nicer for guests if they didn't have to look at my tools although to be honest I don't know if I would hang them up like I'm supposed to  Embarrassed

That is the most ingenious storage idea I have ever seen. Like KS I probably wouldn't hang them up when done.

Very cool idea. We have some framed things in this house and a lot of stuff that could use hiding. Thanks for the ideas.

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!

Thank you!  Grin

These are not my most used tools as they live in a draw but it was getting too full for me to find things easily so this is what I came up with  Smiley
It is useful to know that I can always find a pair of scissors!
