My usual method of keeping my teapot warm (a dishtowel tossed over the teapot) was not keeping my tea nice and piping hot. What to do, what to do?

So I placed a tea bag under my pillow and made a wish. The tea fairy helped me dream up a custom crocheted tea cozy, custom fitted to my favorite teapot. She even suggested I make  tea pot landing pad too.

Hot, cozy teapot. She's happy and keeps my tea toasty warm.

Before: My poor cold naked teapot

Cozy and hot pad for teapot. Oskar helped.

I made this up from scratch, H hook, sc in the round, with double yarn, a wool blend and a cotton. It was fun to fit to the teapot every 3-4 rounds. The spout opening is connected at the bottom, but the handle opening has ties to adjust as needed.

Very clever idea!  I like the colours too, and I'm amazed how well the cozy fits your teapot.

I fit it to the teapot about every 3-4 rounds. Slow way to crochet, but at least the teapot stood still for the fittings. I'm using it right now. It's cold and gray out and I feel warmer looking at it!
