Maybe a deep gray?  That would remind me of tree bark.  I'm still working on mine.  I need to get an updated photo.

Pine green, for a christmas tree? Or gold, that also evokes the end-of-year holidays Smiley

I am going to have to bail on this for this year and start it again next year. Turns out I've been walking around with a broken wrist for 2 weeks. I got a cast today and I can't grip anything with my left hand, which makes it a challenge to craft. Although, if I can get myself caught up with the last 3 weeks of sky, I could follow PaperBeau's lead and start again when the cast comes off... or when the doctor gives me the okay. I got so far with my daily recording, I'd hate to quit...

It's not quitting - it's effective time management  Wink

LOL! Cheesy

Quote
I spent a while walking around with an diagnosed broken wrist - feel your pain. The doctors who we'd been to see after my accident said it was a sprain, then weeks later we get the consultant ring us at home to let me know there are too many bones in my wrist, one of them was broken clean in two! Get better soon. And enjoy grossing people out with the hella crunchy sounding wrist movements once it does come off!

Ouch! At least mine wasn't that bad. Apparently it's a type of break that doesn't always show up right away- the bone has to resorb (a new word I learned... which means absorb... so I don't know why they don't just say that). And, I've been warned about how stiff my wrist will be once the cast comes off... I never thought about the sound... I hate that sound... Smiley

And, I may be able to embroider soon... but I'm not sure about French knots, yet...

I hope everyone's wrists/hands are feeling better soon!  I still need to take a progress shot (which I haven't done in a loooong time) but have knit up to the beginning of July so far.  Its cool and rainy here so hopefully I'll be able to catch up on the last couple of weeks. and hopefully I have enough yarn, need to order more for the last half of the year Roll Eyes

sloth I love the change of season pops of colour!  I was thinking black as well for winter, sparkly black is even better!

Summer has been madly busy! I just got 44 more days stitched on.

Whew... tho its not overly representative of the miserable cold bleak summer we have been having. I like hot and sunny. And most of the days were cool bordering on cold. And it seems the overcast dull broke most days by 4pm.

Is anyone else still playing along?
