Lucky me I got a pocket calendar with pics from MT where I used to live. So if at 2:45 PM I can't do the craft (still yet to determine, cut definitely mood) I can log it.  Still thinking one crochet row, but can't afford yarn, but have lots of floss. Fabric a plenty around here. I'm thinking maybe a postage stamp quilt.

Someone has been listening when i talk about my plans.  Smiley

Hubby ordered from my favourite fabric online store and picked up the 'sky' and 'storm' spectrum Kona solids for Christmas. And had them shipped to my moms so i wouldn't spoil the surprise. (he also picked out TWO other fat quarter bundles!!!).

I'm ready to go!

That is awesome! I love when surprises like that happen, especially from the menfolk in our lives Wink

Tomorrow, I'm heading to the store to return a ball of yarn and I'll be picking up the floss I need, and a hoop. I need to print out the spiral first and space out the dots to make sure I get the right size hoop. I want to be ready to go when the 1st arrives!

Sloth--those fabrics are perfect!  I am very jealous of that stash!  What a lovely and meaningful gift...does your hubby have a brother? (Just kidding! ) Cheesy

My light blue sky looks a bit too light...when I have to mix it with a light blue sky with white clouds, it looks all white!!

Not sure if I have time to order a different color...we don't have too many of those days in the winter, so I might just chance it...

I will be getting my hoop ready this weekend as well...for you embroiderers...are you just going to let the strands hang in back until you want that color again?  I am pretty excited about this one as I never seem to have patience for embroidery...

alwaysinmyroom, I think I'm going to leave the thread hanging to save time (and thread). I think someone mentioned that earlier, and I never would have thought of doing that, so thanks for reminding me!

I may need to keep track of the colors I've used each day so I can make sure I'm grabbing the right strand. I think I'll list each color, and then next to each one, I'll write the day number. I'll have to see how it goes.

I don't think I am going to track my days on the hoop...I am just going to pick a color I like for that day and see where it takes me...in a few years, I won't remember (or care!) anyway...I just want a nice hoop to remind me to slow down and enjoy life!

Sloth!!!!!!  That man of yours is awesome!  Great bundles of fabrics and that quilt is going to look amazing.

I've yet to decide if I'm actually going to play along, or just sit back and watch you guys go....

I'm ordering yarn today which will likely take a month to travel up here to the deep freeze so I'll be snapping a pic every day till it arrives.

Altered Mommy, taking a pic is a great idea for back up to my pocket calendar.  I have more fabric than anything, so I've almost locked down how I want to play and Belladune, I would love to see what you do with fibre.
