I haven't ever ordered yarn online, being a tactile yarn purchaser (must. feel. the. yarn.!!) so I'm going to go with yarn feeling by proxy hehe.

I love this project idea for the simple act of taking a look at your sky/surroundings/mood daily, since it is so easy to get caught up in whatever tasks you have in a day and forget the world around you.  Well it is for me anyway, half the time I have no idea what day it is Cheesy

I take so much for granted and just wanted something to reconnect me...I have high hopes for my life in 2013...this is just a small project to make me stop and evaluate what the heck I am doing here...I work in such a high tech world that I just need a break from it all...to quiet down and listen to the universe, so to speak...to get rid of negativity and to learn how others cope with all that is happening in real life!

Maybe we can give each other tips and slaps in the face to wake up and smell the roses! Cheesy

I've decided I'm going with a paper craft project. It will give me an opportunity to journal my thoughts a bit. I'll be doing something similar to the scarves as far as the color of the sky or tree each day as well. I'm really excited about my plans.

I can't wait to see the various ways people want to reflect on their day...

I showed this to my SIL as something for us to do over the distance but she is primarily a quilter and I am mainly a potter so  I've been trying to rack my brain how to make the project 1. cheap 2. small (neither one of us has too much extra space) 3. non-threating (I can get weird looking at blank paper or a skein of yarn or sometimes even blob of clay-- I know, I'm just odd)

SOOOO...

I think we are going to follow along in a similar fashion but with puzzle pieces.  Its going to be really interesting to see how each puzzle meshes up because while we live in the same state (less than 200 miles away), our weather can be dramatically different.  If I can get a friend of mine to jump in (and she lives clear across the US), we are going to try for "sections" of the puzzle where she does one row, my SIL does the next row, and I do the third row so that you can line up the days to compare them.

Have a week to work out the kinks and get it started!

I wish I could do almost every idea on here! I talked to my SIL earlier today about Christmas plans, and I may be getting a knitting lesson over the holiday. BUT, I still plan to stick with a knot a day- simple, small, highly portable, lot's of inexpensive colors to choose from- because I'm much more likely to actually stick with it for the year.

I can't wait to see all of the interpretations!
