...on occasion (like the weekend or vacations), I can add in some bobbles or some front post trebles. Maybe fptr on the weekend and bobbles on holidays/vacations!
Oooooo, I like that idea Grin

Oh, this project was done a few years ago by a lovely and positive young woman...I bookmarked it as a "someday" project...things got hectic and will probably get even more so in the future...I just wanted a project that would slow me down...make me appreciate some quiet time and nature...Cheesy

And, I wanted to share with my friends here on Craftster because you guys ground me and we can have some fun!

Wow, this is such a fantastic idea. I love it. I might have to pick up a range of blue yarn in the near future.

That's the thing about the beginning of a new year with me - I always want to plan some projects. Unfortunately I never complete them! I tried my hand at project 365 a few years ago (a photo a day for those who don't know). I think I made it to March.

Can I do this? Yes. Would I do this? I dunno... I like the idea of keeping track and catching up when I can. I also like the idea of different stitches for weekends and holidays. Different stitches for the weather and the sky scarf could work too.

What to do...what to do...

One of the things I learned in my meditation classes is that discipline is often missing from our lives...we jump from one thing to another, never quite mastering anything, and scattering our minds...I hope this project will instill more discipline and focus for me...I tend to start a lot of things and lose interest quickly...it will be nice to have this goal and challenge myself to stick with it...it will become part of my daily routine...plus, I think it makes a nice looking scarf

I am following a person on ravelry as I love how hers is turning out!!

I adore this project idea
I think it might be hard for me to restrain myself to only knit ONE row per day! then again.. on some of my busy days it might be very easy.
I think I'll give it a go, starting on the 1st as well.
I also imagine I'll insert tiny bits of color inspired by the trees. When I look at the sky or observe the weather and seasons changing, I always take note of the trees. I think that will add some nice color, and make the project more exciting for me - hopefully I'll be able to see the color progression of the changing seasons in the pattern.
Thanks for the inspiration!

I saw that when I was researching this project!  I think nature changes daily in subtle ways, so you can pick anything you like!  I think trees would be wonderful...or the sea (if you are so lucky to be able to see that everyday!)...

A tree would also be great to use up stash...in the winter, when there are no leaves, you could do like she did with blacks and greys to pick up the sky through the branches...her scarf tells a story of one year in her life when it is done!

I hope you will join us, crescentfresh, in finding your inner calm project!

I like bookie's project as well. She blogs along with it. While I would like to do something like that, just the discipline alone to do this will be daunting.
