I might do the french knot hoop!  I need practice and I have so many colors...I think I will do mine very casual...just pick a color I am in the mood for that day...usual the colors I like depend on my moods anyway...I am going to get my hoop ready and my yarns ready...and put them somewhere I will remember! Cheesy

We got your beautiful sky today in Pa... Cheesy

I will be posting a pic of my yarn this weekend! Cheesy

I am sure I will have to make some adjustments...but I am excited to start this project...

I will also get my hoop ready to go...the idea of a hoop full of French knots excites me because I am not much of an embroiderer...hubby suggested I do a spiral of some sort...showing how even if life spirals out of control sometimes, it is still a beautiful life...*sigh*  it is great to be married to a musician and artist...

I love the idea of the "Craft Your Daily Reflections" and making it all-inclusive. This will be so fun!

I also love the idea of the hoopla with French knots. That would be even easier than crocheting a scarf (especially a scarf I'd never wear). Much more portable, too. It would even be easy to blend your own floss colors for those partly cloudy days. And, alwaysinmyroom, I love the idea of a spiral!

This is the yarn I will be using for my scarf...there are two greys, three blues, and a white...I will be doing my weather chart before the end of the year so I remember what each color combo stands for...and to see if I need more colors! Cheesy

I am using size US 8 bamboo needles.  Now, to just wait patiently for the new year to start...

Cheesy

The yarn is Peruvian wool.  Very soft for a twist...some fluff, but not too much...so my stitching will also show my mood for the day...I tend to knit tighter when I am tired or tense and looser when I am rested and happy! Cheesy

Lovely yarn choice, alwaysinmyroom!

After a bit of thinking, I think I'm leaning heavily towards the "French-knot-a-day" idea. I know that I'd get a little obsessive about perfectly matching the morning sky color to the yarn, and thinking about the cost of that is scaring me a bit. But, embroidery floss is a lot less expensive, and I can buy every possible sky color I'll need for around the same price as 1 ball of yarn.

I was going to get all fancy and embroider a sky quote using either one letter per day or one stitch per day, but then realized that if I want to actually keep up with this, I need to keep it simple.

I'm going to draw out a spiral of dots (LOVED that idea, so I'm totally using it), and after Christmas, I'll be picking up my supplies so I'm ready to go on the 1st!
