Looks great!  I am still playing along.  I pin my fabric squares every day and then catch up on sewing every week or two when I drag out my machine.  I need to get an updated photo.

Sadly, I'm not playing along anymore. I broke my wrist right at the end of June, and it meant I couldn't get caught up on what I had recorded. And, I knew that after two more months of recording, only to get the cast off right before school, I wouldn't get caught up at all. So, since I've got everything on hand, I'll be drawing up a simplified color palette (I started with way too many choices), sketching my line out, and starting again on Jan 1, 2014. I'll make my knots as I go, so I don't get behind.

I am still loving the progress that you guys are posting and I can't wait to see the finished pieces!

Its great to see your progress sloth!  I'm still playing along, although I have the entire month of August to knit up as I've been a traveling fool with no time to knit Cheesy   I also ran out of my blue sky colour-this has been a great reminder that there are far more blue sky days in my world than I would have thought Grin

craftADDchick, sorry to hear about your wrist....but its great to hear you are planning for next year!  I would like to do this again but am trying to think of a different mode than knitting.

I was thinking about doing it again. But maybe selecting a different time. Or maybe trying to catch sunsets...

I think I might do big sheets of watercolours, cut them up into tiny squares and choose the one for each day and put it on a base.  Maybe a table top or just framed....

Oooh! alteredmommy, what a neat idea! I'd have too much trouble choosing each day, so I'd have to cut up a sheet designated as "blue sky with clouds" and toss it in a jar with the same label and then when the day fits, pick one at random. And then glue it down immediately! I think I'll have to save that idea for 2015...

I also have a bad hand and have not been able to knit..Sad...I also learned that I am not very good at keeping my interest aligned with the actual task...and that when life throws me an unexpected loop, I tend to forget everything except the immediate task at hand (ie. taking care of my mom and her affairs)...sooooooo...with that said,

1.  I am going to begin my scarf anew as of October 1st...and,
2.  I LOVE the idea of having stuff prepared and then putting it together randomly...
3.  I love the quilt blocks that sloth did (quilting is more of my style!)....
4.  I love the differenct monthly knit blocks that PaperBleu does!

all of these came from starting this thread, so I think it is still a viable craftalong...maybe just Daily Reflections? However you want to remember this day?

I figure there is still 4 months left in the year so catch up is always possible!  Personally I'm pretty stoked that I've managed to remember to take my picture of the sky almost every day this year (thank you phone reminder!), its the only scheduled task I have managed on a daily basis in forever.....

I can't wait to see this once it gets going!

I am always amazed at how, when I am the most in need of the comfort and relaxation crafting provides, it is the first thing that gets shunted aside when I am busy or stressed.  So, good for you alwaysinmyroom, for picking up the project again in October!

I'd love to join back in, but I have a class starting in October, and I have to pass it, since it is now required for the renewal of my teacher license (and if I don't pass it now, I have to pay for it myself the next time). I don't think the school year, in general, will be as stressful as last year (I hope), so once I get through the class (Oct.- Dec.), the timing will be perfect for starting anew.
