PaperBeau, I love the subtlety of the diagonal stripes! Good for your for learning a pattern, too!

sloth003, I am loving your piece, and the pop of green is just fantastic!

I'm still dutifully recording the sky color, but haven't stitched a single knot. I have everything I need, it's just setting aside the block of time to set it all up.

Your blanket is going to be lovely--and a record of your newly acquired skills!

I knew April was going to be a tough month for me due to taxes, but I am determined to get caught up after the 15th on all my picture postings!  besides, I think my camera disk is full! Cheesy

Our weather has been awful with unpredictable bouts of cold mixed with almost summer weather...I am afraid to uncover the plants and put away the woolens!

I'm in London English, and on vacation and i am so pleased so many days have started out rainy or snowy and by 4pm. Are blueish. Smiley
It makes for a much happier stretch of vacation than grey.

Strip 5! Including my overseas adventure Smiley the really really deep blue piece was from the day we flew home. We were in the air above the clouds at both 4pms. And it was such a rich deep blue.  I will be adding a small union jack to show when I started vacation. Smiley

I have a photo of my first half of April. As you can see it started off nice, but last week was a bit grotty. Today I think I got some good sun at the beach - perhaps even a small tan! .. I still have to knit up y/day (light blue) and today (dark blue!)

The stitching is beautiful....and it looks airy and more springy!

Sloth--your quilt is going to be so special...I now wish I had done a quilt as I tend not to like knitting when it is hot outside...the next few months are going to be tough for me to concentrate on this but I am determined...

I have been paying attention a lot more to the sky and weather in general now that my ill mother is living with me...she is really affected by weather so I have to plan outings around it a lot more...I did some research and found that weather affects a lot of people...we take it for granted but for some, it is a serious thing...

PaperBeau, it's looking fantastic! And, pinkleo, I love how your skyghan is coming out. I love the look of the linen stitch, and it looks great with the color changes on your blanket!

I really planned to work on my French knot spiral this week, but got a bit distracted by the events in Boston... This weekend, I have to get everything done that I didn't get done on Monday and Tuesday and this morning... But, instead of going through Boston today, I went to Mass MoCA in North Adams, MA and saw a couple of amazing exhibits. One was particularly inspiring, so now I'm in a creative mood!
