I love the groundhog! The update photos are great. I find myself a week behind now. Hopefully once I get caught up I can post a pic for January (well January/half of February)...

MissingWillow---your little groundhog just made me smile!  I just love the quilts...maybe next year I will do a weather/occasion quilt!

Just to let you guys know...my mother is very ill and has moved in with me...each day has been a struggle to see to her care, work, and take care of the rest of my family...I find it difficult to eek out some time for myself, but I know how important it is for me to be strong and prepared for all of us...

I still record and look at my sky, but when I sit to knit it, I find my thoughts drifting to sad things, so I quit...oh, don't worry, I will catch up my scarf (I am only about a week behind...)...but sometimes, real life is just too painful to think about...

It is uplifting for me to see your projects...it is my escape and my reminder that life has beauty even when there is so much despair and ugliness...thanks for keeping each other (and me) inspired and encouraged!

It looks fantastic, indigo! I have been faithfully recording my 11:00 am sky (or as close to 11 am as I remember), and will sit down eventually and have a marathon French knot session... Then, I'll finally have a picture to post!

You guys astound me. I could never do something like this, my mind is way too fractured for this kind of thing. I am excited to see your finished works, though.

I'm about a week behind with my yoyos - but I plan on playing catch-up later on today.

I have been plugging away...

During February, my family and I were dealing with the change that comes when you have to accept that your parents are getting old and unable to care for themselves...it is such a huge adjustment for all and we were all trying to make the transition easier for my mom to move in with us...she had to come to terms that she can no longer even cook for herself or even walk for any time without assistance...

All of my friends kept telling me that I needed to be sure to take time for myself...truth be told, it is harder than you think to do this...your focus is on the loved on who needs you, not yourself...I think you kind of go on automatic pilot so that you can cram in all that you have to for that person...it is a time to adjust and to prioritize...to find the things that are the most important

I gave up having to do anything other than minor housecleaning...I learned to make quicker, easier meals suited for my mom...I spent many nights sitting by her, knitting, just to keep my mind from thinking about losing her...I learned more than I wanted to about hospitals, procedures and medications...

It is now March...things are kind of on a routine now...we have all settled in to a daily schedule...I can breathe a little easier...I started looking at the sky again...for hope, for beauty, for answers as to what to do next...

I will make it through this time...with grace and wisdom...I will once again, take a few minutes each day to knit my sky...

Please, everyone, plot on and let me know that you are here with me in spirit and in crafting your own daily life! Cheesy
