In knitting, the rounded tops of the stitching is up...the "v" is pointing down...but, it really doesn't matter...because for me, our beginning and our ending skies are almost the same...my year comes full circle...that is what I am thinking anyway...wouldn't that be lovely not to be able to tell?...I think there is a lesson in that concept as well... Wink

Along with the prayer flags and more of the art swaps, this project is helping me reconnect...I sometimes get lost in the shuffle of our hectic world with all of the problems and issues with families, jobs, money, etc. I don't want to live on autopilot and I don't want to forget the importance of what makes me joyful and life worth living...

I think we are in the same place cabaute! Cheesy

Love it!

I have been faithfully recording the sky- I've even sent myself e-mails once I check the sky so I can remember what it was later. As soon as I can get past a January 30th deadline (with another major deadline between now and then), I can actually make the first series of knots!

I'm loving everyone's progress pics!

I'm doing a hoop with colonial knots. They're just swirling around wherever they feel like going. I have a feeling next that they're going to go straight down across the hoop. I'm planning on putting a royal purple knot in between each month (because if the sky is ever that color, I think we might be in trouble!).

Here's what it looks like so far...

and close up...

Looking great, am! So much blue on yours too, especially considering what I expected from your weather Cheesy

AM--wow--I am also surprised by your scarf!  I looks like you do have some really bright blue skies to go with your super cold weather!

Indigo_roses--I think it is so interesting because obviously, you and I have the same colored sky...your dots match my scarf! Wink  It will be fun to see if we interpret the sky or even watch it at the same time each day...ha--January 1st was a grey day but I was so glad to see the rest of the month with a mix of blues, greys and whites! Cheesy

katara--that is going to be the most interesting blanket...you will have a story to tell with our bright colors mixed in with sky colors...and I do see some dark days and moods in there as well...it is lovely together!
