Super tiny and super awesome (imo)! This bento box was made by hand, by me, without the use of molds, down to the tiniest detail. I made the box, painted and glazed it. And then added in some of my favorite bento foods. It has rice (with a small sprinkle of sesame seeds on top), tempura veggies and shrimp, edamame, gyoza (aka potstickers or dumplings), fresh veggies (broccoli and carrots) and a small cup of sauce for dipping. Everything in the box is made from polymer clay. The box itself was made from craft wood. I hand cut and sanded every piece before gluing them together and painting.

I turned the box into a pendant after much debate. I couldn't honestly decide whether to make it a pendant or a brooch. Anyway, the pendant measures approximately 1 5/8" tall by 1" wide. (approx 41mm x 25mm) and is strung on a 24" (approx 60cm) silver plated ball chain necklace.

I think next time, I will just paint little dots on top of the rice for the sesame seeds. It was just impossible to get them tinier than the grains of rice themselves.

This is one of my favorite creations ever. I hope you like it as much as me! Feel free to comment and critique (I love them).

For size comparison...

And a little collage of different shots.

I love this! Miniature food making is a talent that I wish I had the patience for. And bento boxes are the greatest. Great job!
