I finally finished my ballet bag. I got impatient so it isn't as neat as I would have liked but I am pretty happy with it. The corners are a little wonky and the lining a little baggy. However, it holds my all my ballet stuff and still has room left over.

This bag was based on the Funky travel bag tutorial by logsio (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=42927.0) and  inspired by all the other craftsters who posted their versions of the bag. Also b2j2fitz's Keisha's Diaper Bag ( http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=373841.0) provided inspiration. I added pockets to the inside. There is nothing more annoying than having to empty your entire bag when looking for something.

I used only material that I had in my fabric stash for the project. The outer fabric is upholstery fabric. I had some stiff interfacing that I used on the sides and base.  The green fabric is left over lining from my prom dress ( over ten years ago) and the purple fabric is quilting cotton. The handles are made from stage curtain fabric from the auditorium where I performed as a child.

Outer pocket:

Inside pockets ( a zippered inner pocket, two large slip pockets, and four smaller pockets that fit my pointe shoes):

Some dance stuff in the bag:

C&C welcome

Those pockets look very useful and the bag looks very smart. Great make.

A very practical bag and I love the fabric you used for it.
