Embroidered Felt Ornaments

This has been a labor of love. I live out West but my mom back in New York sent me a ton of embroidery floss after taking out what she needed to complete her own stash, and I now have 4 clear boxes of the stuff, neatly labeled and organized by number (yay, OCD). I had some, however, that were already wound around cardboard cards and had no number. That's the stuff I used to make these beauties.

I got the pictures from everywhere, all over the internets. I traced them directly onto tissue paper (as in, I literally placed the tissue paper on the screen and traced the design) -- very technical. The paper was then pinned to poly felt and hand embroidered. I did it while we were driving around, while watching TV, while my kids ate lunch... You get the idea. I'm including one in each of my Christmas cards, this year. Because they're thin and light, they will be able to fit right in the envelope with the card and picture of my bitties.

And here they are, a little more up-close. The backs were either left plain, embroidered with my initials and the date, and/or with the recipient's last name.

It is hard to pick a favourite among all these lovelies!
The red one with the mittens are so cute, but then I saw the snowcrystals, and love the colour combination of those, and must also agree with your husband that the tree has a nice design.

I don't have a favorite.  I would love them all as a set.  You did all of this by hand.  How long did it take?

Those are so lovely! I adore the one with the mittens, but I think the large snowflake might be my favorite
