thanks! i agree--does look like metal or wood.

actually, i kinda think it looks like tooled leather, which i am always looking to create cruelty-free vegan subsitutes for...one more faux leather technique in my craft arsenal Smiley

I started making my own mask! It was much more difficult handling the thread than I thought it would be.  I am much more impressed with how lovely you make yours now.  This is really fun!  Thank you for doing this. I have many fun hours ahead of me making more and figuring out how to do it better each time.

it actually matches your natural hair pretty well. my first thought was that you had braided your hair across your face. very interesting effect...
