Here is another one - I like the shape of this one better than the dog - which I plan to redo.

I need to practice my embroidery but I do love working with linen.

I LOVE the face on this one! The newsprint fabric for the nose adds a lot of interest.

CUTE!  I think this fits the JJ style fine   I am thinking about useing linen too, and I love the print nose

Yes, I'm loving the newprint fabric also. But it has weird text on it about prostitutes, so I have to try to find the "clean" sentences.

And the challenge is the stitching. I want it to look carefree and rustic, but then it feels too messy for me. So I'll keep trying.

I am in love with these dolls but I agree; the hard part is making them look messy after spending so much time perfecting my stitches.  I have one in the works but I think that he's too neat.

I  think it turned out great...I love how scrappy it is...the shape is nice as well and I love the nose!

I love this critter too! Its face is great! (and funny with the part of the weird text  )
Imperfection is what a critter like this needs! So just go with the flow and don't pay too much attention to stitching. Maybe watch a little tv while sewing?

I don't agree that this one is better than your dog! I somehow feel I need to speak up for him, I love him the way he is!

I love all the tips, will have to try them. "Smmarrt" your doll It's great, I love the newsprint nose so cool. The stitching is smart & the Heart is a adorable. I love your dog too!!
